Mallu Singh Malayalam DVD
Mallu Singh is a colourful movie. Right from the beginning, the frames are brimming with colours. It sets off in green paddy fields and ends up in golden wheat fields.
The colours are so mesmerizing that the viewers swallow the queer story of a missing man, a fictitious village in Punjab where everyone speaks fluent Malayalam and its inhabitants who mouth gags which are stinkier than the cowsheds in the village.
Mallu Singh employs the timeless ploy of getting one of the female leads teased by a ruffian so that the majestic looking male lead can arrive throwing off a whorl of dust and produce magical kicks that would send earthly baddies floating in the air.
Unni Mukundan is salvaged by a thick beard and a thicker gait as he emotes with a stare that seemed permanently imprinted on him. There is Suraj Venjaramoodu who believes that eating dal fry is dangerous since it would make one walk and shit all through the day. Kunchako Boban cuts a pathetic figure while trying to recreate the rustic humour of an oafish villager.
