Naan Ee (English: I am a Fly) is a 2012 Indian Tamil Fictional movier written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film stars Nani, Sudeep and Samantha in the lead roles. It was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Eega with the same cast. The story is about how a young man, after being ruthlessly killed, is reincarnated as a fly in order to take revenge on his murderer.
The quick unfolding of events strike a chord. The star cast including Nani, Samantha and Sudeep add pep to the proceedings with their performance. A top actor of Sandalwood, Sudeep walks away with aplomb playing with ease a complex character.
Nani (Nani) is a young man who specialises in making fireworks. He lives in a house opposite micro artist Bindu (Samantha), who also runs Project 511, an NGO. Nani is in in love with Bindu for two years and has been constantly showing his love for her. Bindu too loves Nani back but plays hard to get and hides her love from him.
Sudeep (Sudeep) is a multi-millionaire industrialist who also happens to be a womaniser. He had even killed his wife for her money. One day, Bindu goes to Sudeep's office to see if he would like to donate money to her NGO. Sudeep is about to send her away, until he sees Bindu through the opening of his office door. He immediately lusts for her, and calls her into his office. Bindu, not knowing of Sudeep's true intentions, tells him all about her NGO, who donates INR 15 lakhs to it. Bindu thanks Sudeep, who asks her out to lunch.
Fantasy will be the right word to describe the film. The amazing computer graphic works makes one stand up and applaud. Even minute things have been paid utmost attention. Rajamouli has opted for a linear narration. He begins the movie narrating it more like an Ambulimama story that we grew up listening to.
Sudeep (Sudeep), a fun-loving and a playboy businessman, lures everyone he comes across and wins them over. He meets Bindu (Samantha) and tries all his tantrums on her. But his efforts fail as she (a kind-hearted social worker) is inclined towards a boy-next-door Nani (Nani). Coming to know of this, Sudeep hatches a conspiracy and kills Nani. Now it is the turn of Nani to reborn as house fly and the 'Ee' buzzes around Sudeep and teaches him lessons the hard way.
