Tipu appears as a humane and enlightened ruler, which is totally opposed to colonialism and a firm believer in the rights of man as envisaged in the American Declaration of Independence and the spirit of the French revolution. With this characteristic foresight, he also initiated efforts to promote Women's Libraries; abolish bonded labour; protext wildlife and environment; introduce measures for social justice; establish school and libraries; and encourage industry, agriculture and exports. Tipu's story eulogises the larger theme of national integration, national unity and communal harmony. The serial presents the cultural continuity of India, the age-old dream of India for freedom and fulfillment, unity and national integration of India... as these were indeed, the central concepts of Tipu's policies, hopes and aspirations.
