Nandha Nanditha Tamil DVD
Nanda (Hemachandran) is thrown out of his home by his drunkard dad. While working as a muscleman for his friend, he meets Nanditha (Meghna) and falls in love. Nanda agrees to kill Knockout Chandran (Shanmugaraja), a political candidate, for Devaraj (Nasser), the local big shot. Does he succeed? What happens to his romance?
You know what to expect from a movie in its first few minutes. And going by the opening minutes of " Nanda Nanditha" - a pointless commentary on the living conditions in Chennai followed by an equally bad hero introduction number - you mentally set the bar lower. But the film manages the astonishing feat of falling even below those expectations.
Everything from the scripting to the cast, music and staging is so unbelievably pedestrian that you wonder what the purpose of such a movie is and who its target audience is. The screenplay is not only dated by 30 years (at the least) but is also filled with scenes so incredulous that your jaws drop.
Nanda's drunken friends attempt to molest Nanditha and she is saved by her lover. In the very next scene, we see him shaking hands with the guys who might have raped her! Worse, Nanditha never talks about this with him and even seems cool about him being friends with those persons.
Considering that this is the team's first attempt, you try to forgive such lapses in logic and concentrate on the positives, but there are hardly any. Even a veteran like Nasser comes a cropper and you are piled on with mindless drivel scene after scene. Beyond a point you just stop caring about the film and weep at your misfortune.
